You don't deserve to be treated the way you do

How I wish I could take away your pain
How I wish I could sweep away all who have mistreated you, hurt you and taken advantage of you
How I wish I could take away your sadness and depression and your anger
How I wish I can see you smile and hope more often
How I wish love would finally conquer this place
How I wish you would have more in life...maybe you'd be happy then.
How I wish God can take you to a better place in Heaven, where there are no more tears or pain, where there are no more burdans that weigh heavy on your weathered back. And even though I'd be sad to see you go, I want you to be more happy than me.

You don't deserve any of this.
Just so you know.

Today

I feel like I just want to curl up in a ball and sleep forever.

"Paul says, ‘I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received.’ What would that life look like?
Well, that life isn’t about keeping score. It’s not about how many friends you have on Facebook, and it’s not about who you’ve dated, are dating or haven’t dated but would like to! It isn’t about what sport you play or how well you did or didn’t play last week. It’s not about your shoes or your hair or the colour of your skin, or where you live or go to school. In fact, it’s not about grades, money, clothes or even about whether that university accepts you or not. Life isn’t about if you have lots of friends, or if you are alone, and it’s not about how accepted or unaccepted you are. Life isn’t just about that. But life is about choosing to love, not hate. It’s about trust, contentment and compassion. It’s about sticking up for your friends and praying for your enemies. Life is about avoiding jealously, overcoming ignorance and encouraging others. It’s about what you say and what you mean. It’s about seeing people for who they are and not what they have. Most of all, it’s about choosing to use your life to touch someone else’s in a way that could never have been achieved otherwise. There choices are what life’s about."

Light

I never realised until today just how incredibly beautiful, pure and good light is.
It shines on the evil, the hatred and the unclean things of this world even though we are underserving.

It cleanses, it convicts and it opens our eyes to all things lovely around us.

Aside from that fact that we need it to see the things around us and live, it is refreashing from the dark things of this world today.
Today a profound moment in the light made me realise the selfish sinner that I am, how much goodness is in light and how much I desperately need it.

It's funny how light surrounds us most of the time, but we are blind to it.
Just like its name, in the light you feel light, free and without burdan.
Light holds blessing and beauty.

Just like God.

God is light, and we are called to be the light of the world, too.

So I just finished reading The Shack by WM. Paul Young. First of all, it's amazing. Second of all, you should read it.
This book is about a man who lost his daughter to a serial killer, and finds a note inviting him to the shack- where his daughter was murdered. There he encounters God, and the weekend is him learning to forgive, love and learn more about the one who loves him most.
I swore this would never happen, but I can feel the walls around my heart falling again. And it's a wonderful feeling.

A few quotes I personally like:

Faith never knows where it is being led. But it knows and loves the one who is leading.
Oswald Chambers

The world is full of tears, but if you remember I promised it would be Me who would wipe them from your eyes.
God

Because you are important, everything you do is important. Everytime you forgive, the universe changes; everytime you reach out and touch a heart or a life, the world changes. With every kindness or service, seen or unseen, my purposes are accomplished and nothing will ever be the same again.

She walks in beauty, like the night
Of cloudless climes and starry skies;
And all that's best of dark and bright
Meet in her aspect and her eyes.
